Culver Square provides you with a safe shopping experience.  When visiting Culver Square don't be surprised if one of our team approaches you if you are looking little lost or you look like you just need some assistance, they're here to help. Our shoppers safety is our number one priority, which is why we operate centre wide covert and overt security measures, including CCTV. This service is for your safety, to give you a great customer experience and for crime prevention.

Banks are on Head Street, Culver Street West and High Street.

A feature which enables you to shop, click and collect at your convenience from your favourite stores. With many of our brands now offering this service within Culver Square let us help you with your shopping experience.

Colchester Shopping at its best doesn’t mean carrying your shopping around all day!

Culver Square offers a ‘collect by car’ – service please ask individual retailers for further information.

First Aid

The majority of our staff are fully trained First Aiders. Shifts are organised to ensure that several are on duty at all times.

A public access defibrillator is available which is mounted on the column between Fraser Hart and Debenhams, in an emergency call 999 and they will provide you with directions the code to gain access to the locked cabinet.

Parent & Child Facilities

Baby changing facilities are available in both male and female public toilets.

Public Toilet facilities are located in Sir Isaac’s Walk.  All restaurants have their own facilities.

Debenhams also have changing facilities as well as bottle warming.

There are lifts for easy pushchair access in Debenhams, TK Maxx and H&M.

Security

Our shoppers safety is our number one priority here at Culver Square, which is why we operate centre wide covert and overt security measures, including CCTV. This service is for your safety, to give you a great customer experience and for crime prevention. If you ever need any assistance you will always be able to locate a member of our security team, if you have a serious concern visit the centre managment office located beside HMV.

Shopmobility

Colchester shopmobility is located at Winsley’s House on the High Street. It is open from 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.  For more information please click here

Toilets

Public Toilet facilities are located in Sir Isaac’s Walk.  All restaurants have their own facilities.

We have a disabled toilet with access via a radar key.

The toilets are open from 9am-4pm Monday to Saturday and 10:30am-3:30pm on Sunday.

Are there disabled facilities available at Culver Square?

Yes, our disabled toilet is located on Sir Isaac’s Walk. The opening times are 9am-4pm Monday to Saturday and 10:30am-3:30pm on Sunday. Please note that the radar key can only be used during normal opening hours.

What access is available to the centre for disabled customers or families with pushchairs?

There are lifts in Debenhams, TK Maxx and H&M.

What facilities are there for families with children?

Can I hire mobility equipment at Culver Square Shopping Centre?

You cannot hire wheelchairs or self-drive scooters from the centre, but the nearest shopmobility is located at Winsley’s House on the High Street. It is open from 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.  For more information please click here.

We don’t have our own car park, but the nearest ones to the centre are:

  • St Johns Car Park which has 14 disabled badge bays. Disabled badge holders have free parking for up to 3 hours (in any bay, when displaying a blue badge with the time clock set to time of arrival) Postcode for this car park is CO2 7AN.
  • Osborne Street NCP Car Park has 6 disabled bays. Parking is free for blue badge holders but only when using a disabled bay. If parked in a regular bay, the regular tariff and rules apply. Postcode for this car park is CO2 7DP.
  • Colchester High Street NCP Car Park has 15 disabled bays. Parking is free for blue badge holders but only when using a disabled bay. If parked in a regular bay, the regular tariff and rules apply. Postcode for this car park is CO1 1EJ
  • St Mary’s Car Park has 8 disabled badge bays and 8 shopmobility bays. Disabled badge holders have free parking for up to 3 hours (in any bay, when displaying a blue badge with the time clock set to time of arrival) Postcode for this car park is CO3 3AA.
  • Britannia Car Park has 9 disabled badge bays and 8 shopmobility bays. Disabled badge holders have free parking for up to 3 hours (in any bay, when displaying a blue badge with the time clock set to time of arrival) Post Code for this car park is CO2 7EF.
  • Priory Street Car Park has 7 disabled badge bays. Disabled badge holders have free parking for up to 3 hours (in any bay, when displaying a blue badge with the time clock set to time of arrival) Post Code: CO1 2QA
  • Vineyard Street Car Park has 5 disabled badge bays. Disabled badge holders have free parking for up to 3 hours (in any bay, when displaying a blue badge with the time clock set to time of arrival) Post Code: CO2 7DG
  • Sheepan Road Car Park has no designated disabled bays but disabled badge holders have free parking for up to 3 hours (in any bay, when displaying a blue badge with the time clock set to time of arrival) Post Code: CO3 3LE

What level of help can be offered by staff and security at Culver Square for people with specific needs?

Our team at Culver Square are pleased to be able to offer help and support to any customer who requests it. They offer their own kindness and compassion, with all centre staff having received Autism training with Autism Anglia.

The majority of our staff are also fully trained First Aiders.
