Culver Square strongly believes in supporting local communities through charity partnerships and other local corporate responsibilities initiatives.

Youth Enquiry Service (Y.E.S)

y.e.s. provides a confidential, non-judgemental and informal service for young people between the ages of 11 and 25 within Colchester and Tendring, who are facing difficulties in their lives.

If you are facing homelessness and need housing advice, if you are having family problems, if you are feeling low, depressed or suicidal, if you need advice about debts or would like to check you are claiming all the benefits you are entitled to, if you are teenager and are pregnant, if you are a young family who needs support, or if you need a CV, training or work advice, then y.e.s. can help you.

y.e.s. can provide help and support with many problems that you may be experiencing – and if we can’t help you ourselves then we will find someone who can, and will support you in getting that help.

Mid and North East Essex Mind

Mid and North East Essex Mind believe no one should have to face a mental health problem alone. That’s why they are here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis, they’ll listen, give you support and advice and they will push for a better deal and respect for everyone experiencing a mental health problem.

They work with children from the age of 5 and adults of all ages. Some people use the services for only a little while and others might need help for longer.

St Helena Hospice

Helping local families face incurable illness and bereavement, St Helena Hospice help local people face incurable illness, supporting them and their families, friends and carers.

They also support children and adults who are facing bereavement.

The team at St Helena Hospice reach out to members of our community, helping them make their own choices and live with dignity. By focusing on their physical, emotional and spiritual needs, they aim to bring comfort and relief to all those who need it, offering the people of North Essex individual care and total support, regardless of their diagnosis or personal circumstances.

They share a common goal: to be here every step of the way for everyone who needs us, helping life to go on in the face of dying, death and bereavement.

By visiting them in their homes, over the phone with our 24/7 advice line, through our day therapies, and at The Hospice, through all the smiles and all the tears we guide those who need us, because we believe in making every memory matter.

Age Concern Colchester

Are a local independent charitable company limited by guarantee providing services and support for older people in the Colchester area.

Their mission is to boost the welfare and quality of life of Colchester borough’s older people – and those who care for them, through advice, information, knowledge and where appropriate, resources.

Colchester & Ipswich Hospital Charity

The Colchester Hospital Charity helps make a difference to over 8,000 people a day at the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

They want to grow the amount of money that they can spend on research, treatment, patient care and experience as well as on staff development to make sure that they support the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust vision to continue to drive improvement in patient experience and be an outstanding provider of health services.

They don’t replace NHS money; through generous donations, they are able to add extra value and support pioneering and innovative work for the benefit of those that need it. It’s these extras – some small, some large – above and beyond the scope of the NHS budget, that really make a difference.

ECL Person-Centred Care

ECL was established by Essex County Council (ECC) in 2009 as the UK’s first Local Authority Trading Company. The company status means that although they are a private limited company, they are wholly owned by Essex County Council.

ECL provides care and support services in Essex, Havering and West Sussex, supporting thousands of people to live safely and independently within their own homes and local communities.
