Back by popular demand!
It’s not every day that a whole city centre is filled with hundreds of comic book, TV and movie characters, but it is now becoming the norm for Colchester as the community unites every September to raise money for local causes.
Invasion Colchester is now in it’s 11th year and each year it gets bigger and better. Last year the event raised a whopping £14,524.60 which was shared between St Helena Hospice, Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, and Mind (Mid & North East Essex), with this year set to try and top that!
The event will fill Culver Square shopping centre with a unique day that transports visitors into all the different fantasy worlds.
From dinosaurs and Dr Who to Ghostbusters and princesses, the day will include a variety of photo opportunities and interactive experiences!
And let’s not forget the children’s fancy dress competition, sponsored by Culver Square Shopping Centre, Colchester Zoo and Wyvernwood. With three fancy dress competitions taking place for ages 0 – 9yrs+, everyone can take part. Fantastic prizes to be won for all the family!
Fancy Dress competition times:
11.00am – 4 and under
12.30pm – 5-8 year olds
2.00pm – 9+

Donations
You can help support this great charity event by making a donation on the day. Our friendly volunteers will be collecting donations in Culver Square.
Prize Draw
The Invasion Colchester Crew will be on the streets with Prize Draw tickets available to purchase! The star prize is a £200 shopping spree in Culver Square shopping centre!
