Looking for free things to do in Colchester this spring? Join us at Culver Square and get involved in Beat the Street – a fun, free activity that’s turning the town into a giant interactive game.

What is Beat the Street?

Beat the Street Colchester is a free, family-friendly initiative that encourages people of all ages to get moving around the town. Walk, cycle, run, scoot or wheel your way around Colchester, tapping Beat Boxes as you go to collect points, unlock rewards and take part in challenges. The game runs from 11th March to 22nd April 2026, giving you six weeks to get involved and see how far you can go.
