Remembrance Day Window 2026
This Remembrance Day, visit the window display on Culver Street West from 1st November to discover a thought-provoking collection of artwork by artists Demelza Fanshawe and Jamie Andrews.
Demelza is a painter and sculptor based at Cuckoo Farm Studios in Colchester. After serving 22 years in the British Army, including in Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia and Kosovo, she studied fine art, graduating in 2024. Her work draws on her military experiences, exploring themes of memory and personal history through striking imagery, including rifles, soldiers and foxes, alongside abstract patterns and textures.
The display also features sculptures by Jamie Andrews, bringing together different artistic perspectives for a unique Remembrance day installation.
