Fancy Dress Competition
The Invasion Colchester Fancy Dress Competition is back for 2026, giving visitors of all ages the chance to show off their creativity and compete for some fantastic prizes.
This year, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new adult category, meaning even more visitors can join in the fun.
Competition times:
11am – Ages 4 and under
12:30pm – Ages 5 – 8
2pm – Ages 9 -17
3pm – Ages 18+ (new for 2026!)

Invasion Colchester is more than just a great day out. The event raises vital funds for three local charities that provide essential support across our community: St Helena Hospice Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity Mid & North East Essex Mind
Every donation helps these organisations continue their incredible work, donations are accepted throughout the day.
